Terms and conditions

1. Introduction

1.1. BuildFind OÜ, registration code 16804249, located in Tallinn, Estonia ("we", "our", or "us") provides an intelligent platform for automating routine tasks in construction projects using AI algorithms and data analysis ("Platform").

1.2. The Platform is intended for professional use by companies engaged in design, construction, and technical supervision. Use is governed by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").

1.3. BuildFind helps automate the analysis of construction tables, volume calculations, project documentation analysis, and the search for standards and regulations. The results provided by the Platform do not replace professional engineering or legal advice.

2. Terms of use

2.1. The User is granted a limited, non-exclusive right to use the Platform solely for work purposes related to construction projects, in compliance with these Terms.

2.2. The User agrees to use the Platform legally and not to infringe on the rights of third parties, including copyrights, privacy, and data protection.

2.3. Prohibited actions include:

  • Modifying, selling, or distributing access to the Platform;
  • Using automated scripts or bots to extract data;
  • Reverse engineering or attempting to bypass system security;
  • Using the Platform to input false or misleading data.

2.4. BuildFind does not guarantee accuracy of results if errors exist in the source data. Final responsibility for verification rests with the User.

2.5. BuildFind reserves the right to limit or terminate access to the Platform upon violation of the Terms.

3. Account

3.1. The User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login and password. BuildFind is not liable for damages resulting from unauthorized access.

3.2. Changes or recovery of access are possible only via the email provided at registration.

4. Intellectual property

4.1. All rights to the Platform, its components, code, interfaces, algorithms, and methods belong to BuildFind OÜ or its licensors.

4.2. The User receives no rights to the software except the usage rights granted under these Terms.

4.3. Estonian company information shown in the Platform comes from the e-Business Register open data published by the Centre of Registers and Information Systems (RIK), licensed under CC BY 4.0. BuildFind modifies that data: it is filtered to construction and building-trade activities and combined with annual report figures. RIK does not endorse BuildFind or these modifications, and company details should be confirmed against the official register entry.

4.4. Public procurement notices come from Tenders Electronic Daily, published by the Publications Office of the European Union and reusable under the Commission Decision of 12 December 2011 on the reuse of Commission documents. Only notices above the EU publication thresholds appear there.

5. Data processing

5.1. The User agrees to comply with personal data protection laws. Uploaded documents and tables must be obtained lawfully.

5.2. BuildFind processes the content the User and the User's company put into the Platform, including any personal data in it, only to provide the Platform. For that processing BuildFind acts as a processor for the User's company, and the Data Processing Agreement forms part of these Terms. How BuildFind handles personal data for its own purposes is described in the Privacy Policy.

5.3. The User acknowledges that data is transmitted to the service providers listed in the Privacy Policy, including AI services and cloud computing platforms, for processing and analysis. These providers are bound by data processing terms, except the web search provider, which receives only search queries, with email addresses, phone numbers, Estonian personal identification codes and IBAN bank account numbers removed automatically and names kept out by instruction to the AI (see the Data Processing Agreement). BuildFind does not use the User's content to train AI models.

5.4. BuildFind may use aggregated, anonymised statistics about how the Platform is used, which do not contain the User's content, to operate and improve the Platform.

5.5. The User may connect their Microsoft Outlook mailbox. BuildFind then reads mail with the permission granted in Microsoft's own consent flow, only when the User opens mail in the Platform or uses an action on an email. The User may also send email prepared in the Platform from their mailbox; permission to send is requested the first time, and an email is sent only after the User has reviewed it and confirmed sending. BuildFind never changes or deletes mail. Mailbox content is stored only where the User acts on an email: an email the User asks about is copied into the User's personal chat; the text and photos the User keeps when creating a defect report become part of that report and are visible to whoever can see the report; and tasks and defect reports created from an email keep a reference to it (message and conversation identifiers, subject, sender and received date). For each email sent, BuildFind keeps a record of the sending without its content. The User may disconnect the mailbox at any time, which stops all access and deletes the stored Microsoft access tokens. The Privacy Policy describes this in full.

5.6. The User confirms that they are entitled to connect and process the correspondence accessible through the connected account, including any authorizations required for a work account, and that use of the Platform with such data complies with applicable law. The User is responsible for the recipients and content of every email they send through the Platform, including text prepared by AI.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

6.1. The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of fitness, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.

6.2. BuildFind is not liable for any damages resulting from the use of the Platform, including calculation errors, outages, or service unavailability.

7. Limitation of liability

7.1. BuildFind is not responsible for:

  • Incorrect results due to errors in input data;
  • Violations caused by third-party services;
  • Data loss;
  • Interruptions or failures of the Platform;
  • Third-party claims arising from Platform use.

7.2. Maximum liability is limited to 100 euros or the actual damage amount, whichever is less.

8. Indemnification

8.1. The User agrees to indemnify BuildFind for any losses related to violations of the Terms or laws.

9. Changes to terms

9.1. BuildFind reserves the right to modify the Terms at any time. The current version is always available on the website.

9.2. Continued use of the Platform after publication of changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing law and disputes

10.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia.

10.2. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Harju County Court in Tallinn unless otherwise agreed.
